About Us

Refined Designs began as a DBA in 1978. Our primary focus at the time was fabricating and installing custom cabinetry for the home and office. We worked directly with contractors and designers on behalf of customers, but something seemed to be missing in the equation from our point of view.

Over the next several years, we realized the market was extremely receptive to our unique brand of insight and services including custom design and consultation. We decided instead of working behind the scenes and through third parties, we would now find and work directly with our own customers. About the same time, as fortune would have it, we also decided to embrace one of the emerging technologies of the day―CAD (computer-aided design). We purchased our first CAD software 1988. CAD further propelled our success by enabling us to create all manner of fresh, imaginative spaces and design solutions as well as provide clients with detailed, realistic renderings of our concepts. The response to our new approach was positive and immediate.

As demand for our design services grew, we also began to explore other aspects of renovation and remodeling projects. Our clients, (new and returning), were asking for a better way accomplish their goals. They wanted a "one-stop-shop" with a reputable contractor who could handle all aspects of their projects from start to finish. It was a win-win scenario. Customers would receive the benefits of working with a single, experienced and trusted contractor familiar with them and their unique vision; and we would be in a better position to ensure the execution of the entire project met our exacting standards. installing cabinetry, obtaining (and keeping current) a residential builder's license was the next logical step. We acquired our license in 1995 and have been continually involved in the remodeling and renovation of residential homes and commercial properties ever since.

Ultimately, our continuing goal is to create high quality designs, exceptional additions, kitchens and baths that are appropriate to their settings while at the same time being extremely functional and affordable. We offer a wide range of residential and light commercial services.
